Steve Madison is a supporting character in Sibling Rivalries, and a recurring character in Sibling Rivalries: The Next Chapter. He also appears in an image in Turner's Second Chance.

In the main series, he is a 7th Grader, supposedly in Salvador Real's class. Steve is a troublemaker, claiming he gets about three detentions a week by the teacher.

By the events of TNC he appears to have been held back in a previous year, as he is barely starting his freshman year although he should actually be a sophomore. He has joined the freshman football team, although as he continues to have bad grades and get into trouble, he struggles.

  • Apparently Steve dislikes taking showers after gym class at school, which is a running gag in "Patrick McReary: School President".
  • Steve and Albert Green were the only characters in the series who did not appear in the special "Like Father, Like Sons (And Daughter)". Steve may not have attended Maureen and Hector's wedding in the latter comic due to the fact that he is not good friends with the McReary siblings, and therefore wasn't invited.
    • However, in the Season 5 comic "A Christmas Story", Steve interacts with Packie and Francis, so they may have become friends sometime after July 2015 (the comic takes place about one week before Christmas).
  • Steve enjoys fighting, and claims that he causes most of the fights at Wisconsin Elementary School. ("Satellite Screw-Up")
  • If Steve is a constant troublemaker, then there is no way he should have been able to run for school president in "Patrick McReary: School President".
