  • Tommy's Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FirFc1azLw4

Introducing Tommaso "Tommy" Vercetti. He is now sixty two and as a result is no longer the brash and often impulsive young man that we played as in the game. He has aged and with that comes a much greater wisdom and restraint. He stands at the head of the Vercetti Crime Family as a fully recognized don with an immense reputation of fearful respect and strength behind him. Now in his sixties he has changed the way he acts. His every action is extremely carefully planned out to account for everything that could go wrong. He evaluates a situation from multiple angles and tries to get all sides of the story before he acts. Tommy never acts without planning it out first.

But don't be mistaken. He is still ruthlessly violent and even more dangerous than he was in the game now that he leads a fully recognized family with links to the Five Families of Liberty City. It is just that he is more restrained in how he acts and plans out every thing he does so as to make it work to his best advantage. Yes he'll still have you killed  but if therer is a another way that benefits him better he will do it. Things don't go wrong for him because he plans them out thinking of what could go wrong. He is an expert strategist and understands the mindset of the street level maifa thug and criminal.

His crime family is fully recognized by the Five Families and even has links back to the Sicilian Mafia beyond the Italian Mafia. He won't feature in my fan-fiction in person but one of his capos, Adriano Gianinno, will be seen during an arms deal with Angus' club in San Andreas at which point he'll reference Tommy with something along the lines of "Mr. Vercetti sends his regards."

The simple fact is - Tommy is a high-level with an infamous reputation. There are hordes of people gunning for him not mention the various federal agencies that would just love to put him in handcuffs. No matter how much a criminal leader is feared and respected there is always some young hot shot looking to make a name for himself by taking him out. Tommy has become the "Godfather of Vice City" with the immense reputation that goes with that.

He's built his family from the ground up, fought a war with the Forelli Family and the Sindacco Family, won the support of The Commission and then the Sicilian Mafia. He brought all the gangs of Vice city to heel and took over the biggest criminal rackets in the city. He's a very big name in the criminal underworld.

    • Wow. Nice job, man. You did an interesting job at recreating the Tommy Vercetti character and I really like what you done with him. I think he is a good character who really could use some more story but you take to a whole new level!

I really do see Tommy giving other dons a real run for their money. He is still based in Vice City, right? It would be cool to see his relationships with the other crime families on the east coast. I see Tommy as this very powerful figure who should not be messed with!

The way you reference him in your bike stories are an interesting touch too, just to see that all of your creations are indeed in the same continuity. I really do like Tommy Vercetti and will enjoy seeing more of him in action.

    • Thanks man! I'm so glad that you enjoy them and I like keeping you updated with what is going on. I remembered you were interested so I just wanted to keep you in the loop. I like the concept of keeping all my GTA fan-fiction creations in the same continuity as it seems like a nice way of gathering them all up and being true to the GTA series. Of course, it does mean that I have to change the odd thing and age certain characters. That's why Tommy is now sixty two, which he would be in 2013 when my creations are set, and his character has grown and changed as it naturally would in the period of the time-jump.

The mafia families and outlaw bikers have a long history of working together. You'll hear a lot of stories about it and might even see it mentioned in movies. I know that they did use it in Sons of Anarchy at one point. I'm not quite sure why by the mafia and bikers seem to have a mutual respect for reach other. At least among some clubs and mafia families. It's just one of those interesting pairings that no one can quite explain.

Tommy is still based in Vice City and he really has become the "Godfather of Vice City" with a massive hold over the entire city. He knows about everything that goes on and if you want to do something major you have to run it past him. It's "his" city after all. You bought it with the blood of his enemies and maintains control over it by his immense reputation.

I liked him in the game. He's not an entirely bad guy but he certainly does have a lot of ambition. He comes across as your typical Italian-American mobster but he does have an intelligence and ambition to him. He was an interesting character that deserves an update in the series. CJ on the other hand will remain a mystery. I like the idea of not quite knowing what happening to him. Maybe he got out of the gang life? Maybe he didn't. But Tommy, EVERYBODY knows Tommy.

    • I like your idea of having a different colour scheme for each holiday. It's a really nice way to mark the holidays. Don't feel you have to change anything on my account. I'm getting used to the new scheme.

  • I still really like that name and find your whole Sibling Rivalries franchise very interesting. You actually inspired me to come up with my Untold Stories franchise which will be a similar thing with multiple smaller stories centering on specific NPC characters from the games. I've always been interested in the stories of the background ordinary residents in the GTA games. Such as that guy you just hijacked, or the young college girl you bump into on the street and even that cop whose car you wrecked during a police chase.

I like the sound of Sibling Rivalries: The Next Chapter and that the character's are older than they were in the older comics. It will be nice to see them growing up and facing new challenges in life. Now that he's at high school Packie will have all the typical high school problems. That one jock who gives him a hard time, that girl he likes but hasn't been able to ask out, worrying about his future after high school, the big game night, junior prom and that all goodness. But now that he's older he will also be realizing that he has a reputation and that he fits into the social structure one way or another. He'll have more of an adult-like persona with all the stresses and complexities that come with it.

But at the end of the day you as the author have to decide what you want to do with it. Where do you want Packie's story to go next? What time of young man will he become? Is he on the football team? Is he a shy misfit? Or is he that moody loner that no one really knows much about?

    • I still really love the "Next Chapter" sequel title. It just sounds really nice to me as a writer and is a great way to let the readers know straight away what the story is. It's almost like a tv show title which I can imagine your comics as.

    • I'd like to think of my comics as like a TV show as well. The series could easily work as a cartoon of some sort just as long as I retool some stuff.

I am really glad I am continuing the franchise with this sequel series, I hate how I just abandoned these characters back last year when I started going through those problems, so it just feels good to be back and expanding on these characters and the world around them.

  • Hi Dimitri,

I've chosen heavier music for the storyline music for Brotherhood Rising. It just gives you a real feeling for Angus and the club. They are rough and violent bikers who are pretended to do what has to be done to protect their club and its interests. But it's also about protecting each other as friends and keeping their brotherhood alive.

I'm working on the early stages of the fan-fiction to build up the friendships between the main characters.

    • That is a big part of the fan-fiction and my novel too. I really want to show that outlaw bikers aren't the mindless violent thugs the media makes them out to be. We don't get to see into their world because they're protecting themselves and their way of life. But they have the very same emotions that we do. They struggle with all the same things. At the end of the day bikers are human, just like everyone else.

Writing a scene like Lee's funeral can be very difficult to pull off. Getting the emotion right is a big thing while staying true to the grittiness of the biker culture. They won't cry but they will be very deeply sad and mournful. For example, Lee is taken back to the clubhouse in his coffin so all the club can say goodbye before the funeral. One by one they all stop and place a hand on the coffin and put something in with him. Angus becomes particularly close to Lee so it is very hard on him - and he blames himself. He is the leader of the club, he thinks he should have been able to prevent Lee's death.

To make matters worse. Lee has a young wife and a small child who are at his funeral. But the club takes care of them. This whole scene is right in the middle of the war with the Jesters MC so it will serve as a strong image - so many die young in the biker world. The lyrics from that song really sum it up "Leave your tears at the grave, for a brother that they could not save."

... but then the club's grief turns into anger and they swear revenge on Lee's killers. The war then goes to a whole new level.

I've always been interested in the whole Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada area. I've never had a chance to explore the United States, I've only been in the Los Angeles Airport on my way to the UK, but I want to travel America one day. Arizona seems really interesting from what I've seen in tv series and the like. I find the variety of climates in America so interesting like the pine forests and cold in Colorado and the desert heat and dryness of Arizona. Then the swamps and humidity of Louisana.

    • The funeral scene will be a good part to show Angus's caring personality. He may be a violent man, but the death of one of his closest friends will really bring out his emotions and show that he and his brothers are indeed human after all, like you said.

This is a good turning point in the story, and could be the starting point for many more events will come. Angus will definitely wish to avenge his death in some way.

Back to Arizona. We are not a bad state, and we do have a lot to offer. Well, we are especially famous for our Grand Canyon (which I have yet to see myself). I do wish to explore more of the states around us, such as Colorado and Nevada. I also want to see more of California and New Mexico. The times when we went there were strictly on a schedule and you know, we couldn't really go off route to explore the states more.

  • Hey Dimitri, just wanted to say that I REALLY like the new home page! Great work man, it looks really good! Nice touch with the admin list too. That makes it clear right from the start so that new users know who to go to for help.

    • Thanks man! I think it looks better without the whole "recent activity" section taking up most of the page. If people want to go there, they can just find the link in the header, you know?

I highly doubt we will gain any more new members, but if we ever do, then I want our home page to give them a warm welcome and let them know the basics of the wiki.

    • I really love what you've done with it! You are doing such a good job with the wiki as a whole. It really looks professional and well presented. Even the GTA Wiki would be proud. But I wouldn't give up hope on getting new members. A nice home page and some details about what is allowed on the wiki will bring people in.

I agree about getting rid of the "recent activity" section. That was untidy and took up far too much space. Plus it kinda looked like a competition to make articles as in "look at what I've done."

    • Thanks man! Sorry I haven't been active very much lately .. family problems. But everything's good and I'll be back real fast. Anyway, well I tried promoting this wiki on other wikis with a blog post, but I either failed to get people's attention or the blog post was removed by administrators. I don't know if we will get any newcomers, but I'm just glad we actually have some people. I enjoy our small little family here.. you, me, Vincestick, and others.

I never liked how the "recent activity" section took up pretty much the entire space, and I eventually decided to get rid of it, now it looks much tidier, you are right.

  • "Do unto others and suffer no slight."

I've decided to make that the official motto for the Devils Chosen MC. It pretty much sums up their whole attitude towards society and the world in general. It's important not to forget that at the end of the day they are violent criminals and ruthless outlaw bikers. They do whatever they need to do in order to protect their club and its interests. Any show of disrespect is responded to with brutal force - in the outlaw biker world you have to demand respect and respond to any show of disrespect. Otherwise you risk being seen as weak and the other clubs won't respect you at all.

The second time Chris makes a cameo will be just before the outbreak of the Devils Chosen MC - Jesters MC War. I'm planning on having him loitering somewhere with Hunter when the bikers ride past. I might just Chris as heraldry as well as a reference to innocence - he's the largely innocent kid that Angus once was. Eventually he will stop appearing to show that the bikers have passed the point of no return. Chris reminds Angus of the troubled kid he once was in the Chris is really not a bad kid.

You had a good point about the name. It definitely does seem more creative and unique so I'll bring it back.

    • An act of mercy is when you show mercy to someone. For example, pulling the life support from a terminally ill person who is suffering can be an act of mercy. But it could also be thought of as murder - it's a big grey area.
