  • Hi Dimitri,

I remember you asking how Thomas Stubbs III will be featured in my fan-fiction. He is actually a background boss in much the same way as he was in the Lost and Damned. Stubbs takes a liking to Angus before the beginning of the fan-fiction, between when it begins and the end of the Lost and Damned, and decides to subtly invest in him. Stubbs is the one who paid for the radical surgery that gave Angus back his ability to walk, he suggests a location that ultimately becomes the new club's official clubhouse, he gives the new club links to prominent figures who can help it establish itself and he generally helps the Devils Chosen MC and Angus.

But, Stubbs never does anything without wanting something in return. He is a schemer and a power-player. He is plotting to take the Governorship of San Andreas on his path to higher political office and will use Angus to help solve "problems" for him. Stubbs is much the same as he appears in the Lost and Damned. But he is much cleverer and ambitious. He was disgraced in Liberty City and now plots his return to power in Los Santos.

"It's good to see you again Angus. But I'm afraid this isn't a social call. No, I have a situation I need you to take care of. I scratched your back now it's time you scratched mine. It seems I've rubbed some bleeding heart liberals the wrong way and they've decided to try run a smear campaign against me. I need you and your associates to pay them a little 'visit' and convince them to stop what they're doing."

-- Thomas Stubbs III speaking to Angus

    • Interesting. I've always liked the Stubbs character and we never did hear about what happens to him following the events of the GTA IV trinty. I was really thinking a businessman like him would reappear or at least be mentioned in GTA V but that never happened. Nice touch for including him in the fan fiction! I have wondered where he was and if he were to be added, how would his role be?

I liked him in the sense that he was never one of those greedy mission givers and he was genuinely friendly to Johnny. I took a liking to him and I like how at the end, Johnny and Stubbs leave on a good note, but I still wondered what would happen to him after the game is over. I like how you had him return in your story. I really do!

  • Dude, I've been here for 4 years (and I've been contributing stuff lately than the ACTUAL threads like TRS and the others does) and still no b-crat right. Wel-

    Wait a second!

That's not how a proper user to "beg" something lol sorry.

    Actual request:

Promote me to b-crat when I reached 1,500 edits. I've set the goal to myself because it will be fun yet challenging. Yeah, that's all I ask and thanks :)

  • I still really like that name and find your whole Sibling Rivalries franchise very interesting. You actually inspired me to come up with my Untold Stories franchise which will be a similar thing with multiple smaller stories centering on specific NPC characters from the games. I've always been interested in the stories of the background ordinary residents in the GTA games. Such as that guy you just hijacked, or the young college girl you bump into on the street and even that cop whose car you wrecked during a police chase.

I like the sound of Sibling Rivalries: The Next Chapter and that the character's are older than they were in the older comics. It will be nice to see them growing up and facing new challenges in life. Now that he's at high school Packie will have all the typical high school problems. That one jock who gives him a hard time, that girl he likes but hasn't been able to ask out, worrying about his future after high school, the big game night, junior prom and that all goodness. But now that he's older he will also be realizing that he has a reputation and that he fits into the social structure one way or another. He'll have more of an adult-like persona with all the stresses and complexities that come with it.

But at the end of the day you as the author have to decide what you want to do with it. Where do you want Packie's story to go next? What time of young man will he become? Is he on the football team? Is he a shy misfit? Or is he that moody loner that no one really knows much about?

  • Hi Dimitri,

I've chosen heavier music for the storyline music for Brotherhood Rising. It just gives you a real feeling for Angus and the club. They are rough and violent bikers who are pretended to do what has to be done to protect their club and its interests. But it's also about protecting each other as friends and keeping their brotherhood alive.

I'm working on the early stages of the fan-fiction to build up the friendships between the main characters.

    • That is a big part of the fan-fiction and my novel too. I really want to show that outlaw bikers aren't the mindless violent thugs the media makes them out to be. We don't get to see into their world because they're protecting themselves and their way of life. But they have the very same emotions that we do. They struggle with all the same things. At the end of the day bikers are human, just like everyone else.

Writing a scene like Lee's funeral can be very difficult to pull off. Getting the emotion right is a big thing while staying true to the grittiness of the biker culture. They won't cry but they will be very deeply sad and mournful. For example, Lee is taken back to the clubhouse in his coffin so all the club can say goodbye before the funeral. One by one they all stop and place a hand on the coffin and put something in with him. Angus becomes particularly close to Lee so it is very hard on him - and he blames himself. He is the leader of the club, he thinks he should have been able to prevent Lee's death.

To make matters worse. Lee has a young wife and a small child who are at his funeral. But the club takes care of them. This whole scene is right in the middle of the war with the Jesters MC so it will serve as a strong image - so many die young in the biker world. The lyrics from that song really sum it up "Leave your tears at the grave, for a brother that they could not save."

... but then the club's grief turns into anger and they swear revenge on Lee's killers. The war then goes to a whole new level.

I've always been interested in the whole Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada area. I've never had a chance to explore the United States, I've only been in the Los Angeles Airport on my way to the UK, but I want to travel America one day. Arizona seems really interesting from what I've seen in tv series and the like. I find the variety of climates in America so interesting like the pine forests and cold in Colorado and the desert heat and dryness of Arizona. Then the swamps and humidity of Louisana.

    • The funeral scene will be a good part to show Angus's caring personality. He may be a violent man, but the death of one of his closest friends will really bring out his emotions and show that he and his brothers are indeed human after all, like you said.

This is a good turning point in the story, and could be the starting point for many more events will come. Angus will definitely wish to avenge his death in some way.

Back to Arizona. We are not a bad state, and we do have a lot to offer. Well, we are especially famous for our Grand Canyon (which I have yet to see myself). I do wish to explore more of the states around us, such as Colorado and Nevada. I also want to see more of California and New Mexico. The times when we went there were strictly on a schedule and you know, we couldn't really go off route to explore the states more.

  • Hey Dimitri, just wanted to say that I REALLY like the new home page! Great work man, it looks really good! Nice touch with the admin list too. That makes it clear right from the start so that new users know who to go to for help.

    • Thanks man! I think it looks better without the whole "recent activity" section taking up most of the page. If people want to go there, they can just find the link in the header, you know?

I highly doubt we will gain any more new members, but if we ever do, then I want our home page to give them a warm welcome and let them know the basics of the wiki.

    • I really love what you've done with it! You are doing such a good job with the wiki as a whole. It really looks professional and well presented. Even the GTA Wiki would be proud. But I wouldn't give up hope on getting new members. A nice home page and some details about what is allowed on the wiki will bring people in.

I agree about getting rid of the "recent activity" section. That was untidy and took up far too much space. Plus it kinda looked like a competition to make articles as in "look at what I've done."

    • Thanks man! Sorry I haven't been active very much lately .. family problems. But everything's good and I'll be back real fast. Anyway, well I tried promoting this wiki on other wikis with a blog post, but I either failed to get people's attention or the blog post was removed by administrators. I don't know if we will get any newcomers, but I'm just glad we actually have some people. I enjoy our small little family here.. you, me, Vincestick, and others.

I never liked how the "recent activity" section took up pretty much the entire space, and I eventually decided to get rid of it, now it looks much tidier, you are right.

  • "Do unto others and suffer no slight."

I've decided to make that the official motto for the Devils Chosen MC. It pretty much sums up their whole attitude towards society and the world in general. It's important not to forget that at the end of the day they are violent criminals and ruthless outlaw bikers. They do whatever they need to do in order to protect their club and its interests. Any show of disrespect is responded to with brutal force - in the outlaw biker world you have to demand respect and respond to any show of disrespect. Otherwise you risk being seen as weak and the other clubs won't respect you at all.

The second time Chris makes a cameo will be just before the outbreak of the Devils Chosen MC - Jesters MC War. I'm planning on having him loitering somewhere with Hunter when the bikers ride past. I might just Chris as heraldry as well as a reference to innocence - he's the largely innocent kid that Angus once was. Eventually he will stop appearing to show that the bikers have passed the point of no return. Chris reminds Angus of the troubled kid he once was in the Chris is really not a bad kid.

You had a good point about the name. It definitely does seem more creative and unique so I'll bring it back.

    • An act of mercy is when you show mercy to someone. For example, pulling the life support from a terminally ill person who is suffering can be an act of mercy. But it could also be thought of as murder - it's a big grey area.

  • Hi, Dimitri :)

I just wanted to ask you that as a representitive of my wiki (Slush Invaders):

May our wikis be affliates? Including the Fanon wiki of course.

  • Hey, Dimitri.

I am truly sorry for not saying anything about me being absent in your wiki for a long time. Things just happened since I enrolled in the first semester of what should have been my last year in college. I'm held back a year now since I did fail a bunch last year, so by next year I'll have to take up the classes I should have taken this semester before it ended. I only told myself to limit it to only my high priority wikis like the K-ON! Wiki and Date A Live Wiki since I do have a load of edits that I need to do in both (the former with me being the only one left in charge, sadly but it's cool).

I do stop by the Fanon, Slush and SF wiki, the latter which I do more compared to the first two. I also check by this place from time to time but can't do much of editing (not even my own fanfics which I can't find much time for, but luckily I will soon).

Basically my whole time has been behind the scene of me just... procastrinating. Kind of.

Anyway, I'll be back in full soon.
