Grand Theft Auto IV is the eleventh title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the fourth primary title. The game was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles on April 29, 2008, and later on PC on December 2 of the same year. The game is also backwards compatible on Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
This is the version of the game that exists within the Sibling Rivalries and Cletus Comics universes. It is assumed that this counterpart of GTA IV follows the story of the real-life game, focusing on war veteran Niko Bellic who moves to Liberty City (a fictionalized version of New York) to reunite with his cousin, and to seek two men that were responsible for betraying his war unit years ago.
The version of GTA IV that exists within projects in GTA Nerd Comic Productions would have to be edited a bit, due to the fact that several characters from both series' take their names from GTA IV characters: specifically, the McReary siblings from Sibling Rivalries, and two characters named Dimitri Rascalov and Ray Boccino from Cletus Comics. In SR comic "The 100th Comic Spectacular!", Francis confirms that their version of the video game replaces the McReary family with a Dutch family of siblings named the Eikenbooms. It is unknown how the video game in CC's universe replaces the names of Dimitri and Ray.
Currently, there have been zero references to GTA IV's episodes, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony so far in the comic series. It is mused that they would exist along with the rest of the Rockstar Games catalogue.
