Franklin in GTA V
Franklin Clinton is one of the three protagonists of Grand Theft Auto V.
He is portrayed as a young, ambitious and street-smart character, who grew up in a tough neighborhood in South Los Santos. Franklin has a history of being involved in criminal activity, but he is trying to turn his life around and make something of himself.
Franklin is a skilled driver and has connections in the criminal underworld, which he uses to secure work as a repo man at the start of the game. Throughout the course of the story, Franklin becomes more involved in criminal activities and is recruited by Michael De Santa and Trevor Philips to assist with various heists. Despite his criminal past, Franklin has a strong sense of morality and often questions the morality of the tasks he is asked to complete. He is also loyal to his friends and family, particularly his mentor and friend, Lamar Davis.
Franklin's successful life after GTA V can be seen in The Contract, a 2021 DLC for Grand Theft Auto Online, where Franklin now has a business involving celebrity management.
